Nik Weis 2015 Alte Riben Riesling, Mosel, Germany (Jen & Jerry)

A whisper of sweetness accompanies this off-dry Kabinett Riesling, with good acidity; tangerine and lemon-lime notes delight the palate. Nik Weis, the third generation of his family at this Mosel estate notes that the extreme steep slopes, slate soils, and old vines (alte reben) make the difference in this complex and interesting Riesling. Enjoy with sushi or pork chops topped with sautéed apples and onions!
