Kvaszinger 2013 Estate Tokaji Furmint, Hungary (Jen)
Furmint was long cultivated to make the Tokaj dessert wine that made the Hungarian wine country famous. Now, a new generation of winemakers is making beautiful dry wine from this same varietal, including Laszlo Kvasinger and his two sons., Gyorgy and Laszlo Jr. Rated 90pts Wine Enthusiast, “This dry Furmint has aromas of caramelized pineapple, citrus blossom, and peach with flavors of apricot, grapefruit and lemon lime. There is pleasant brightness in the crisp finish.” This pairs nicely with raw oysters, sushi, shellfish, or seafood dishes.

Domaine de Durban 2014 Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, France (Andres)
Elevate your dessert course with this Kermit Lynch imported Beaumes de Venise from Southern Rhone. Domaine de Durban stands on the site of a former Roman healing springs station, atop a picturesque plateau in the Vaucluse. Muscat a Petits Grains Blanc is grown in clay and limestone soils and is hand harvested, then fermented in stainless steel. Neutral spirit is added to stop fermentation, and aging occurs in cement and stainless steel before bottling. This Beaume-de-Venise is the most celebrated Muscat in the entire appellation, and the Leydier family deserves all the credit. This would be a super pairing with chocolate, caramel desserts and would also work with fruit based desserts.
