Tasting Saturday 2pm-6pm

Grof Degenfeld 2013 Furmint, TOkaj, Hungary (Pat D.)

Try this new Hungarian selection, an off-dry white wine made from the Furmint grape, which has been growing in the Tokaj region since at least the late 16th century. Furmint can make bone dry wines or extremely sweet dessert wines depending on when it is harvested. This delicate, off-dry version has high acidity which nicely balances the sweetness and makes it an excellent pairing for seafood, sushi and spicy dishes.

Craggy Range 2015 Sauvignon Blanc Te Muna Road Vineyard, Martinborough, New Zealand (Carolyn)

This is a delicious medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of citrus blossom, lime, and jasmine. Fresh lime and grapefruit flavors as well as crushed stones accent the long, crisp finish. The Wairarapa region of New Zealand produces only 1.3% of the country’s wines, but those that are produced here are highly sought after, iconic wines by small, family-owned wineries. The village of Martinborough shares climate and soil profile similar to Burgundy. Pair this wine with seafood or poultry!
