2013 Left Coast Cellars White Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon (Jen and Jerry)
Try this unique stainless steel fermented Pinot Noir (fermented without skins) that we sampled recently. This wine brims with Rainier cherry, white peach, poached pear and honey flavors and bright, balanced acidity and a lingering mineral finish. Although this vintage is not yet rated, the 2012 earned 90pts Wine Enthusiast. If pairing with food, this wine would be a divine accompaniment to crab, cream-based soups, avocado, and mushroom dishes!

2013 Inti Bonarda, Mendoza, Argentina (Tim)
Try this delightful new addition to our $10 Wine Racks. Bonarda was originally cultivated in the Piedmont region of Italy and then transported to Argentina where it is now widely grown. Disease wiped out production of this grape in Italy. Bonarda is an easy-drinking wine, slightly lighter bodied than Malbec but lusciously fruit forward- people enjoy the cherry and plum flavors and the light tannins and moderate acidity. Try with roast chicken or pork.

2011 Fattoria La Valentina Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, Italy (Matt)
If you’ve long thought of Montepulciano as a rough country wine, consider taking a second look. This wonderful producer has utilized low yields, old vines and dynamic organic viticulture to bring about a truly first class Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, brimming with peppery, dark fruit flavors and lovely, refined finish. This would pair perfectly with pasta with meat, mushrooms, or tomato sauce.

2012 Canoe Ridge “Expedition” Cabernet Sauvignon, Washington State (Jen & Jerry)
This Cabernet Sauvignon was actually recommended to us by a Mills Club Member, although we’ve long been a fan of the winery and have enjoyed the Expedition Pinot Gris many times. Canoe Ridge’s estate vineyard is located along a wide swath of the Columbia River in eastern Washington-the river moderates the temperature fluctuations of the vineyard. This blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Syrah, 6% Merlot and 5% Malbec delivers aromas of forest floor and wild strawberries and layered juicy flavors of smoky plum and savory black cherry with a deep, velvety finish. Pair with roasted or grilled meats!

Roscato Rosso Dolce Sweet Red, Lombardy, Italy (Ryan)
We always like to offer a selection for our customers who enjoy semi-sweet or sweet wines, and this choice will not disappoint. This delicately sweet, gently fizzy red wine from northern Italy makes a wonderful aperitif or chocolate dessert pairing. Notes of cherry, blackberry and red raspberry dominate. Although this wine is made in the Moscato d’Asti style, it is actually made from Teroldego, Lagrein, and Croatina grapes from the Trentino-Alto Adige region as opposed to the Muscat Blanc grape.
