Meet Wine Manager

Mary Mulvihill (CSW, FWS)

In addition to managing the wine program at Mills, Mary is an adjunct wine instructor at Anne Arundel Community College, where she teaches classes on Maryland, French, and Italian wine, and also leads groups on full-day tours of Maryland’s wine regions. Mary developed her love of wine while living and working in France for three and a half years, during which time she also biked many of the country’s wine regions. She is a certified French Wine Scholar (FWS) and FWS Instructor through the French Wine Society, a program endorsed by France’s National Wine Office. Mary also participated in the French Wine Society’s Rhone Valley visit program for wine educators, hosted by the professional Rhone Valley winemaking associations. She is a Certified Wine Specialist (CWS) with the Society of Wine Educators, of which she is professional member. Mary brings a “sense of terroir” to her enjoyment and selection of wines. Over the years, Mary has also explored vineyards in Australia, Italy and New Zealand by bicycle and foot. She likes to see, smell, and hear the “place” when she selects a bottle of wine and pairs it with food, or, when she helps you do so!
