Alsace
2009 Domaine Gerard Neumeyer Pinot Gris “Le Berger”
Reg. Price: $22.99
Anchor Sale Price: $18.39 (20% off per bottle)
We re-tasted dry white wine from Gérard and Gabrielle Neumeyer earlier this week and loved the wine’s full-bodied style (for a Pinot Gris) with delicious honey notes that made us naturally want to recommend this wine with Thanksgiving fare or Asian cuisine with some spicy flavors. The Neumeyers are a top-ranked producer in the northern part of Alsace (their 40 acres of vineyards are located around the village of Molsheim). Their white wines age beautifully.
Loire Valley
2011 Domaine Vigneu-Chevreau Vouvray Sec “Cuvee Silex”
Reg. Price: $22.99
Mills Club Price: $20.69

This beautiful, dry Chenin Blanc comes from a four generation producer in the Vouvray AOC that has been certified biodynamic since 1999. The grapes in this white wine come from the “Silex” parcel of the Vigneau-Chevreau family’s vineyards. Grapes in the “Silex” parcel, composed of limestone, clay, and silex with many flinty stones on the surface, is always picked first. Here are some winery notes on this special wine: “This cuvee has an intense flinty, minerally characteristic and a finish that lasts and lasts. It is a perfect match for sushi, seafood and white meats, particularly with herbal preparations. It is also a fine aperitif.”
Burgundy
2011 Val de Mer Bourgogne Blanc
Reg. Price: $23.99
Mills Club Price: $21.59
Case Discount Price: $19.19
This Chardonnay from Patrick Piuze, one of Chablis’s rising wine makers, is one of the fullest whites we have tasted in a while from the Chablis region. The wine has nice apple and citrus fruit flavors, good acidity, and a big finish. An outstanding value from Piuze!
2011 Danjean-Berthoux Domaine au Moulin Neuf Givry “Meix au Roi”
Reg. Price: $24.99
Mills Club Price: $22.49
Case Price: $19.99
Givry is located along the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy south of the more famous Côte de Beaune. You can find some of the best value/quality Burgundy Pinot Noirs from Givry, which is what we did with this 2011 Domaine au Moulin Neuf from Patrick Danjean. It is a beauty made from 35-40 year old Pinot Noir vines grown in his high elevation vineyard in the Jambles area of Givry: the wine is well-structured, full of red berry fruit flavors along with some earthiness and spice, and has a nice, medium-length finish. We have stocked up on this wine especially as a great French Pinot Noir option for Thanksgiving Day Dinner, which is only about one month away.
Aix en Provence
2012 Domaine d’Eole Rosé

Mills Club Price: $19.79
Case Price: $17.59
We have only three cases left of this wonderful dry rosé made from six grapes! Rosé wines are a perfect pairing with turkey Thanksgiving fare and can be enjoyed all year round. This Rosé was our top-seller this year—a clear customer and staff favorite in our popular dry rosé wine section.
Rhone Valley
2010 Feraud-Brunel Cotes-du-Rhone Villages
Reg. Price : $22.99
Mills Club Price: $20.69
Case Discount Price: $18.39
This favorite Rhone red wine comes from Féraud-Brunel, a partnership since 1998 of two of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s to producers–Laurence Féraud of Domaine du Pégau and André Brunel of Les Cailloux. Here is theNew York Times Wine Club’s review: “The old-vine Grenache (75 percent) provides red fruit aromas, juiciness and charm, while Syrah (25 percent) offers earthy, dark fruit flavors as well as notes of white and black pepper. The sweet nose of black raspberry and black plum is intermixed with hints of white pepper, licorice and dried citrus rind. The palate, loaded with the juicy fresh fruit flavors of blackberry, black cherry and warm plum, is highlighted by incense-like spices, lingering citrus notes and distant whiffs of game and smoke. It is bright and exuberant, with genuine Rhône character.”
