WINES TASTED SUNDAY 1-4pm
Kermit Lynch 2018 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Italy (Aron)
From the rolling green hills of the Le Marche region (just east of Tuscany along the Adriatic coast), this dry white wine made from the Verdicchio grape features citrus and green sage notes, bright acid and a touch of savoriness, making it a great pairing for a warm plate of creamy pasta or burrata. This is another wine that famed importer Kermit Lynch has a hand in helping formulate alongside a European winemaker; in this case with Stefano Antonucci of Azienda Santa Barbara.

Pierre- Marie Chermette 2018 Beaujolais Blanc, France (Tim)
Almost the entire production of Beaujolais is devoted to the Gamay grape, so this Chardonnay is a real rarity. Round and rich with citrus and apricot aromas and flavors, this is an unoaked, clean expression of Chardonnay. Try with cream of crab soup, or lobster, or simple chicken or seafood meals!

Henry of Pelham 2018 Classic Baco Noir, Ontario, Canada (Jen & Jerry)
You’ll love this dry, plush, medium-bodied red with blackberry and plum aromas and coffee, cedar and smoke notes. Black cherry flavors dominate the slightly smoke tinged finish. Baco Noir is a French-American hybrid grape produced primarily in New York and Canada. It’s a cross of Folle Blanche with an unknown New World “Vitis Riparia” family and was developed as a phylloxera-resistant vine that retained French character. Try with roasted chicken or pork! Henry of Pelham is owned and operated by three brothers Matthew, Paul and Daniel Speck; all of whom were educated at St. John’s College of Annapolis.

Dancing Crow 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Lake County, California (Tim)
This Cabernet Sauvignon has small amounts of Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Tempranillo blended in and spends 8 months in French oak. We loved this Cab, a new arrival from Dancing Crow located in Lake County, a region that has been receiving recent acclaim due to the excellent volcanic soils, mountain climate and moderating influence of Clear Lake, North America’s oldest fresh water lake. This Cab showcases plum and allspice aromas and flavors of dark cherry and cedar, a full-bodied, smooth finish with velvety fine tannins. Try with beef or lamb dishes.
