Clavelin Cremant du Jura Brut Comte (Andres)

Tucked between Burgundy and Switzerland, the Jura region of France produces excellent sparkling wines. This version is made in the Champagne method, fermented in bottle and hand-riddled. Made from Chardonnay grapes planted to largely limestone soil, this shows lime zest, apple and wheat, with a fine mousse and a minerally saline note. Rated 90pts Robert Parker. ORGANIC

A wine you would think was designed to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, this medium sweet, peppery-ginger spice Gewurztraminer is heady with pear and blossom aromas, with fruit on the palate balanced by bright lemon citrus notes. Enjoy with turkey and an extra helping of cranberry sauce, or spicy Thai meatballs!

Chateau La Mothe du Barry 2017 Bordeaux Superieur, France (Andrew)

A chilly evening calls for a wine like this Bordeaux from Joel Duffau, a 100% Merlot that’s deeply concentrated, offering up classic Bordeaux flavors of graphite, cassis and cocoa, soft tannins and a rich, persistent finish. This would nice compliment a plate of pasta with marinara sauce, roasted beef or lamb. ORGANIC

Andrew Rich 2015 Pinot Noir, Eola Amity Hills, Oregon (Geoff)

Andrew Rich began his winemaking career at California’s Bonny Doon, where he developed a keen interest in Rhone varietals.  After moving to Oregon in 1995 he realized his true calling in deftly creating Pinot Noir that are richly elegant but never overblown. This splurge-worthy example combines grapes from volcanic soil sites, contributing mineral spiced red fruits, along with grapes from marine sedimentary soils, providing superb structure. Aging takes place in 25% new French oak. Black cherry fruit, leather, and bright acid wow the palate in this supple, luscious Pinot Noir. Try with roasted poultry or hearty fish dishes.
