Dancing Crow 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, California (Aron)

Notes of lemongrass, basil, and lime and an undercurrent of minerality from the Lake County volcanic soils are reminiscent more of a French Sauvignon Blanc such as Sancerre or Bordeaux Blanc.   This flavorful yet dry white wine will pair nicely with a wide variety of seafood dishes, from mussels to shrimp to grilled branzino.

Bordeleau Moscato, Maryland (Tim)

We recently received some samples from Bordeleau, a Maryland winery located in the town of Eden, just south of Salisbury on the Wicomico Creek.  This semi-sweet Moscato duly impressed us with an expressive nose of rose petals and honeysuckle, while flavors of peach, pear and melon danced across our palates! Serve well-chilled as a delightful aperitif, with cheeses or as a dessert pairing with lemon cake.

From one of our favorite Rioja producers Cune, “Compania Vinicola del Norte de España”, this wine is the perfect compromise for a red wine lover on a hot summer day! Made from 100% Tempranillo, the wine spends 36 hours macerating with the skins to produce the dark cranberry hue. Showing luscious strawberry and cherry fruit notes with a touch of red licorice, the texture is smooth and the finish shows refreshing acidity. Le Soula Trigone Rouge #19 (Andres)

The vineyards of Le Soula are situated in the mountainous Fenouilledes, off an ancient road between Languedoc and Catalonia.  Farmed organically and biodynamically since 2009, the poor soils (predominately granite/schist) and harsh climate in these high-altitude vineyards set the stage for a very special, complex wine.  A blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan from 2017, 2018 and 2019 harvests, this medium-bodied red shows exuberant layers of blackberry and blueberry fruit notes and a bit of spice. Enjoy with grilled spare ribs or lamb chops.  BIODYNAMIC
