Cortefresca Prosecco Spumante DOC, Italy (Geoff)

Fresh, fruity and elegant are words that describe this sparkling wine made from the Glera grape in the Prosecco region of Italy. Wonderful on its own or as part of a Spritz or Bellini cocktail, this wine will also pair nicely with cheeses and other light appetizer fare, and at this price can easily serve a party or family gathering!

Cantine Menhir 2017 Verdeca IGT, Puglia, Italy (Tim)

Verdeca is a little-known Italian white wine grape from Puglia, the “heel” of the Italian boot. In 2000, brothers Gaetano and Vito Marangelli purchased the vineyard, located 4 miles from the Adriatic Sea, with the aim of growing ancient and nearly extinct varietals. Featuring Meyer lemon, fresh tarragon, minerally rock notes and bright acid, this will pair nicely with charcuterie and hard cheeses, seafood or simple pasta preparations. Certified Organic.

Regular Price: $13.99

Mills Club Price: $12.59
Case Price: $11.19

Willamette Valley Vineyards 2018 Whole Cluster Rosè, Oregon (Jen & Jerry)

The new vintage of this perennial favorite rosè has arrived, made from Pinot Noir grown and hand harvested in the Willamette Valley. Featuring pronounced aromatics of juicy watermelon, strawberries and honeysuckle, it is dry yet round on the palate with flavors of nectarine, grapefruit and vanilla. Fresh acidity makes this a wonderful pairing with creamy pasta dishes or roasted poultry.

Siema 2014 Merlot IGT, Sicily, Italy (Geoff)

Made by the Alcesti family on the Western side of the isle of Sicily, this new addition to our $10 rack features bright cherry and plum fruit notes, rich and harmonious on the palate. Try this simple yet enjoyable red with burgers off the grill or Easter lamb!

Matthew Fritz 2017 Pinot Noir, North Coast, California (Aron)

Founder Matt Bonanno teamed with Fritz Stuhlmuller of Stuhlmuller Vineyards for this project (thus the name, Matthew Fritz). Grapes from this Pinot Noir are sourced from Mendocino and Redwood Valley and bottled in Sonoma County, where the wine spends 8 months in French oak. This lovely light-bodied red features intense aromas of red cherries and rhubarb while the palate engages with firm acidity and lots of wild berry, allspice and forest floor characteristics. A classically styled Pinot Noir at a super affordable price; enjoy with ham or poultry.

Longshadow 2016 Poet’s Leap Riesling, Washington (Pat D.)

We were duly impressed by this new off-dry Riesling by winemaker Armin Diel, proprietor of the famed Schlossgut Diel of Germany, applying his skills to the Columbia Valley!  With spicy and expressive aromatics and flavors of melon, honey, apricot and citrus on the palate, this finishes bright and racy. A beautiful pairing for ham or sushi! Rated 92pts Robert Parker.

Hobo Wines 2017 “Camp” Chardonnay, Sonoma County, California (Andres)

Winemaker Kenny Likitprakong sources grapes through relationships with growers throughout Sonoma County with an emphasis on selecting growers who farm responsibly. “Hobo” refers to Kenny’s wandering fruit sourcing, and not having his own “home” vineyard.  The wine is made employing all native yeasts and neutral oak, allowing a true expression of Chardonnay to shine through. Exuding fresh tropical fruits and a creamy vanilla texture, the crisp finish has you reaching for another glass.

Ego Bodegas Marionette 2017 Red Blend, Jumilla, Spain (Andrew)

This is a blend of 50% Monastrell and 50% Syrah aged just a few months in American oak from Jumilla, a DO in southeast Spain. Fuller in intensity and body, this fruit forward and toasty red will pair nicely with barbecued ribs or pulled pork sandwiches.

Chateau Tauzinat 2015 l’Hermitage, St.-Emilion, Bordeaux (Pat)

A Bordeaux from St-Emilion is an excellent choice for a special beef or lamb dinner. This version, from the excellent 2015 vintage, shows beautiful briar and woodland aromatics, as well as strawberry, blackberry, cassis notes and a touch of spice, all in a nicely structured package. The soils are dominated by clay and limestone.  This is a property of the famed Moueix family, whose presence in Pomerol (Chateau Taillefer in 1923) preceded their acquisition of Chateau Tauzinat in 1953. Tauzinat’s history dates back prior to 1789 when it was owned by the Carles family under the reign of King Louis XVI. The Tauzin oak forest, which inspired the estate name, is the home of the Tauzin oak trees, whose roots are home to exquisite truffles.

Brancatelli 2015 Valle delle Stella Toscana IGT, Italy (Tim)

We loved this newly arrived “supertuscan”, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc aged in Allier oak barrels for 12 months. The aromatics are intense with cherry, floral and spice while the harmonious palate features dark cherry, plum and earth; this is full-bodied with soft texture and very long finish. Enjoy with braised meats, lamb, venison or aged cheeses.
