Harney Lane 2016 Zinfandel Lizzie James Vineyard, Lodi, California (Pat)

Zinfandel grapes for this wine come from the Lizzie James Vineyard, with vines planted in 1904.  The old, giant, gnarled trunks of these vines more closely resemble a large fruit tree than a typical Zinfandel vine.  The wine is equally massive, with notes of jam berries and plum, balsamic, tobacco leather, and forest floor.  Pair this powerful red with grilled steaks for an amazing celebratory meal!
