Vinho Verde, or “green wine”, refers to the youthfulness of the wine. Domaine Les Fouques 2019 Cuvee de l’Aubigue Rosè, Provence, France (Andres)

Yves Gros and family have been farming Domaine les Fouques biodynamically since 1991, where they also raise ducks, geese, guinea hen and sheep in a valley just a few miles north of the Mediterranean Sea.  The vines grow on hillsides below the forests where wild boar roam freely, and eucalyptus, lavender and pine grow all around. Made from 50% Grenache, 31% Cinsault, 11% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Rolle, this dry rosè is fresh and energetic, offering citrus and red berry aromatics and juicy tangerine and raspberry flavors. This is a harmonious wine, reflecting the harmony of the farm where it was grown and made. Small production! Certified Biodynamic.
